Welcome to my tutorial on
Computer Art

For this tutorial I will be teaching you how to create a colored box.

You will need:

Template (below)
An art program (I use Paint Shop Pro [PSP])
Color printer
Cardstock (or heavy paper)
Scissors
Double-sided tape
An imaginitive mind

You may choose the coloring of the box yourself, and although I will be
demonstrating in PSP 8© you'll probably be able to follow along in PSP 7 or your art program.

Step One:
Click on the template below and save it somewhere where you can easily find it.

I found the template surfing the internet and decided it would make a nice craft.

Step Two
Open the image up in PSP (or your art program), select the fill tool
and a pattern or color that you want inserted onto the sides of the box,
and click on the squares. You can even make each square a different
color or pattern.

Here is an example of a pattern that I made:

You'll notice that the flaps aren't filled in. This is how it should be.

Step Three
Print out your pattern from PSP onto cardstock and cut it out along the outside edges.

Step Four

Crease along the lines inside the box and fold together, securing
flaps with double-sided tape.

Tape one side closed but leave the other untaped so you can open and
close the box.

It should now look like this:

If it does, then
Congratulations, you did it!*

*If not, go back to step one.
